Performance poet Terry Moore has featured with and opened for
some of the world's top entertainers (The Temptations, Maya Angelou, Kirk Franklin, Floetry, Mary Mary, Dr. Cornel West, Freddie Jackson, CeCe Winans, Lalah Hathaway, Zapp, WAR, Marvin Sapp, Philip Bailey (Earth, Wind and Fire), Bilal, Howard Hewitt, Gerald Albright, Raphael Saadiq, Raheem DeVaughn, Iyanla Vanzant, Norman Brown, Rick Braun, Jonathan Butler, and has hosted concerts featuring Anthony Hamilton, Eric Benet, Ledisi, Faith Evans, and Blackstreet f/ Teddy Riley). He has won 10 Best Spoken Word Poet awards, a Best Live Performer award, a BMA Image award, appeared on the world-famous Showtime at the Apollo and BET, won multiple competitions, hosted numerous events and appeared in movies.
There will be guest appearances by the "Poet of the Year" Natascha Lane, poet Goddess Donya from Los Angeles, poet She Wrights, and poet and singer No Last Name. The MC will be none other than local favorite, Sharie Wilson. Terry Moore will be backed by award-winning band LSB.
Benefit: A portion of the proceeds from this event will be used to support the upcoming "From a Boy to a Man" workshop, which is designed to enhance the lives of young men ages 12 to 19. Your participation directly contributes to empowering the next generation and providing valuable resources, guidance, and opportunities for their personal growth and development.
