This small-to-medium-sized event is designed to be a relaxing, nurturing space where you can explore healing workshops, shop with local vendors, and enjoy performances that center authentic creativity and expression.

Through guided prompts and creative exercises, we’ll craft poetry that reflects our identities, challenges, and growth. Whether you're new to poetry or a seasoned writer, come with an open heart and a willingness to explore.

About the Artist:
Lani is a multidisciplinary creative vessel and teaching artist weaving stories through writing, visual art, and beyond. Rooted in Southern culture, curiosity, and love for family, their work is powerful and deeply authentic. A member of the Bull City Slam Team, Lani was recently part of The Beautiful Project’s inaugural Nikki’s Table Poetry Cohort.

Info: This workshop is a vibrant celebration of the African Diaspora through music and movement. Dance is more than rhythm—it's a form of storytelling, healing, and connection. Together, we’ll explore traditional West African dance, embracing the joy of movement as a way to release stress, uplift the spirit, and honor cultural roots. No experience needed—just come ready to move, sweat, and celebrate!

In this beginner-friendly workshop, participants will learn the fundamentals of sewing and pattern-making, exploring how to bring their creative visions to life. Led by Marasia Jeter, with special guest designer Sekou Goff, this hands-on session will cover sewing machine basics, flat pattern techniques, and practical design tips. Attendees will create their own tote bag to take home—a wearable reminder of their creativity and skill.

Led by Maxine Eloi, with a live soundscape by Molefi Ramos, this session invites you to envision a future full of love, abundance, and possibility. Participants will create art or collages to take home—visual reminders of the world they wish to cultivate for themselves and their communities.

Info: In this workshop, we will explore the power of slow, deep breathing to activate the vagus nerve, a key player in regulating our nervous system. Through guided breathwork, we will tap into our body's natural ability to reduce stress, enhance emotional resilience, and promote overall well-being. The vagus nerve connects our brain to our heart, lungs, and gut—when activated, it helps us shift from states of tension and overwhelm to calm and restoration.

This session offers a gentle, accessible way to reconnect with yourself, release held tension, and cultivate a sense of peace and presence. Whether you’re new to breathwork or looking to deepen your practice, this workshop provides a supportive space to pause, reset, and nourish your body and mind.
