ABOUT THE COMEDIANS
Cody Montanye (headliner) is a comedian based out of Upstate New York. He can be seen performing frequently throughout the Northeast at venues such as the the Albany FunnyBone (NY), SoulJoels Comedy club (pa), Comix at Mohegan Sun (CT), Paramount Theater (VT) and is a regular the Comedy Works in Saratoga (NY). Montanye has opened for numerous comedians like Louis CK, Kurt Metzger, Tim Meadows, and many others.
Jamell Sirleaf (feature act) is a Liberian-American comedian, based out of New York City. He also most recently featured at Essence Festival of Culture in July 2024 and was the winner of the 2024 Jersey City comedy festival. He also headlined shows at the Vermont Comedy Festival in December 2022 & 2023, and the Vail Comedy Festival in May 2023. In October 2023, he was a part of Laugh After Dark’s comedy festival and Hell Yes Fest in New Orleans, LA in November 2023.
Charlie Nadler (host) owes his existence to a TV show; his parents met while writing together on Laverne & Shirley. In 10+ years of performing standup while based in Los Angeles, New York City, and now the Berkshires, he has released two albums and told jokes around the world in clubs, colleges, festivals, bars, country clubs, teen centers, basements, attics, and one barber shop. He also develops screenplays and serves as co-founder of Laugh Dealers, a company that produces custom comedy shows and consulting for companies and individuals. Nadler relocated here in 2019 with his wife Cary. Together they raise two cats who do not care for comedy.
ABOUT BRIGHT IDEAS BREWING
Founded in 2016 on the campus of the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art, Bright Ideas Brewing started with a simple goal; to provide good beer to museum-goers and North Adams locals alike, creating a common space where the two groups could connect over a beer.
Since then, Bright Ideas has grown and evolved, with every batch of beer aiming to improve on the one that came before. The reach of their beers expanded when they began canning and distributing their beers to local restaurants and package stores around western Massachusetts.
