Residents and visitors near Apache Junction are in for a treat when Jim Barber takes the stage. Known for his quick wit, musical talent, and unforgettable ventriloquism, Jim brings a one-of-a-kind show that RV resort audiences love. His cast of hilarious characters — including his six-foot singing partner, Seville — keeps crowds laughing, clapping, and talking about the show long after it’s over.
Jim’s inventive style blends comedy, music, and masterful ventriloquism in a way that feels fresh and fun for all ages. With his multi-octave voice, spot-on impressions, and surprising sound effects, he delivers a performance that’s as impressive as it is entertaining.
A seasoned professional, Jim has headlined major shows in Las Vegas, Reno, and Branson; entertained thousands on cruise ships around the world; and performed for our military through the USO. He has made national TV appearances — including the Late Show with David Letterman, where David introduced him as “one of the most popular acts in Branson, Missouri.”
Jim has also performed at hundreds of corporate events and nearly 2,000 colleges nationwide. When he’s not touring, he broadcasts from his mobile studio, hosting his Branson-based radio program The Barber Shop, heard weekdays from 9am–1pm Central on Branson4u.com.
Along the way, Jim has earned some of the industry’s highest honors, including International Ventriloquist of the Year, Comedy Entertainer of the Year, and Showtime’s Funniest Person in Tennessee. He has shared the stage with legendary performers such as Glen Campbell, The Osmonds, Tony Orlando, Bobby Vinton, The Smothers Brothers, Yakov Smirnoff, and many others.
Today, Jim and his wife Melonie are excited to bring their crowd-pleasing show to Apache Junction. With clean comedy, amazing vocal talent, and a warm, personable style, Jim Barber delivers the kind of fun, feel-good entertainment that RV communities look forward to all season long.
