Step through the red curtains and into a world where surrealism meets stand-up. Comedy in the Black Lodge brings a night of uncanny humor to the In Dreams: A David Lynch Tribute exhibition; blending laughter, strangeness, and dream logic inside the gallery’s immersive environment.
FEATURING
James Nghiem
Known for his rhythmic delivery, comedic experimentation, and odd perspective, allowing him to approach topics from multiple angles and engage audiences in unexpected ways.
James tackles both the everyday and the almost-never with sharp wit. Filled with non sequitur logic, the seemingly random events that shape his act blur the line between silly and profound. His comedy is bizarre, entertaining, lighthearted, and always fun.
He runs the digital comedy label Robot Saves City, has opened for national headlining acts, and has appeared on several comedy podcasts, including No Fun Intended, alongside guests such as Paul F. Tompkins, Maria Bamford, Doug Benson, Kyle Kinane, Todd Barry, and Marc Maron.
The Martin Duprass
Oklahoma City’s favorite puppeteering duo returns with their delightfully bizarre comedy. Following the premiere of their new short film Awkward Gawker at the Oklahoma Film Exchange, they continue to push boundaries with sharp satire, surreal characters, and handcrafted chaos that could only come from The Martin Duprass.
Jennifer Johnson
Opening the night is local comic Jennifer Johnson (Reweathering America), whose dry humor and sharp storytelling turn everyday awkwardness into hilariously relatable moments.
Light refreshments will be available, and the bar of the Black Lodge will be open for one night only.
