Comedy in The Back Room - January Show

Meet us at 911 Charles Street on Friday, January 3rd for Comedy in "The Back Room," presented by FXBG Comedy Scene. This monthly comedy event showcases the best comedic talent from DC, Richmond, Charlottesville and beyond.

Sit back and enjoy a carefully curated lineup of comics. From sharp-witted stand-up to hilarious storytelling, our performers promise to give you a memorable experience. Doors open at 7pm, show begins at 8pm. 21+ only, valid ID required. Food and drinks available for purchase before and during the show.

January Comedians:

, is a rising comedian from Baltimore MD. Known for her quick wit and comebacks, she is a spitfire on the mic. She has broadened her span of experience by performing clubs all over the country with the likes of Mark Normand, Sam Morrill, Roy Wood, Rich Voss, Yamaneika Saunders, Jackie Fabulous, Damon Williams, Just Nesh, Sam Jay, Gina Yashere, Pierre, Michael Rappaport and various others.

is a stand up comedian and improvist (Calamity: The Show) based in the DMV. She finds the humor in life's darkest moments and isn't afraid to laugh at herself. Or others (when they deserve it). She recently placed 2nd out of 36 comics in a local comedy contest which means she probably isn't terrible. When she's not on stage, she enjoys spending time with her dog, lying awake at night thinking about embarrassing mistakes from her past, and photography.

was born and raised in the Northern Virginia area, but has traveled near and far gaining an array unique perspectives on life along the way (Probably because he almost lost his several times).

Reserved in public but lively on the mic, Ace is not afraid to address any elephant in the room, or to say whatever may come to his mind for the sake of a good joke. He shares his upbringing and uses the stage to find humor in both the positives and negatives of every aspect in life, leaving you laughing and thinking throughout the show and even on the ride home.

Ace Jackson has produced and performed in hundreds of shows across the DMV area alongside some of the best in the comedy game, including featuring for Tony Woods at the DC Improv, and spots at The Church of Satire Comedy Club and The Cellar Door.

from Alexandria, Virginia who's comedy is as unique as his name. A veteran travelling comedian, who's quick whit, interactive and engaging style, makes the audience feel as though every show is tailor-made for them. Schewitz has appeard on Wild Out Wednesday's, with Roland Martin. He is the father of five daughters, which in itself is a continuous line of comedy. If you're looking for a host, someone for a wedding toast, or a comedy roast this guy's saavy style and effortless deliveries are always on time. He will have the audience in the moment with his one liners and funny stories. Schewitz is one of the most requested comedians that you don't know, but be assured after experiencing one of his shows, you will never forget his name. Buckle your seatbelt and enjoy the ride.
