About this Event
On Sunday 28th July Comedy Dundee presents our first ever PRE-FRINGE at Number 57, an afternoon of Edinburgh Fringe preview shows featuring some of the best comedians from Scottish comedy. Starting off the day at 3pm we have the inimitable Gary Little.
A true Scottish comedy OG, Gary Little is recognised as a master storyteller and one of Scottish comedy’s most consistently funny acts. A frequent headliner at many of the top comedy clubs in the UK, Gary regularly sells out his Edinburgh Fringe and Glasgow Comedy Festival Shows.
“Some of the best stand up I’ve seen” - Kevin Bridges
“A f***ing riot” – Bill Burr
“This man is a born raconteur” - The Scotsman
Gary will not be participating in the Edinburgh Fringe this year, so this is not an opportunity to miss!
Later on in the day we’ll also have Chris Forbes at 5pm, Mark Nelson at 7pm and Viv Gee at 9pm, tickets for these shows sold separately.
**PLEASE READ CAREFULLY**
· Tickets can be refunded or exchanged no less than 24 hours before the show.
· This show is one hour in duration with no interval. Please arrive before the show starts but not before doors open at 2pm. Attendees who arrive late will not be granted admission or a refund.
· This is NOT a standing event. All audience members must be seated while the performance is underway, unless ordering at the bar or using the toilets. When ordering at the bar, please whisper.
· Entrance and exit is via the side door only; please wait outside at the door for ticket check and to be seated by the doorman.
· You will probably have to share a table. You may not be able to sit together if the remaining chairs available are spread out. If you are particular about seating we recommend arriving as early as possible.
· Seats in the front half of the room must be filled before seating in the back half is allocated.
· Seating in the alcove at the back is reserved for the comedians and their guests only.
· Don’t talk or heckle during the performances. This rule is NOT optional. It is very distracting for both the performer and other audience members. Some performers (usually the host) might talk to the audience, but otherwise please let the comedians do the talking. Heckling does not ‘help the show’. Think of it like cinema rules: laughter, cheers, applause are all great, but talking or yelling out is not. And another cinema rule…
· Please put your phone on silent. Photos are fine but please no video or flash photography.
· If your chair is not facing the stage when you come in, please rotate it when the show starts.
· These shows are for people aged 18 and over. Due to licencing 17 year olds can attend accompanied by a parent or guardian, but we cannot allow entry to those aged 16 and under, accompanied or not. You may be asked to show ID if you do not look of age.
· Comedy Dundee does not necessarily agree or disagree with the opinions and viewpoints expressed by the comedians. Acts are booked based on their ability to make people laugh, beyond that we respect freedom of expression. If you disagree or are offended by what you hear, you are free to express this by not laughing, by leaving, or by respectfully raising your objections with the act after the show or via social media. You may not interrupt an on-going performance.
· This event is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Edinburgh Fringe, or any other similarly named even or organisation.
