The Clubhouse Spotlight
The Clubhouse Spotlight is an English Stand-Up Comedy showcase featuring one of our favourite European headliners doing an extended set with support from a talented warm up act and a friendly host :)
If you're sick of tapas on Blai and can't stomach Opium anymore then The Clubhouse Spotlight is a great Saturday evening option for you. We choose great comedians every week and make sure they bring their best material!
Every week we have a fresh lineups with new comedians from all around Europe and we rotate hosts so it's always guaranteed to be a new, interesting and hilarious experience!
When, Where, Who & How Much?Every Saturday 8:30pm
Tickets: 10 euros online, 12 euros at the door
Group discount: 7 euros for groups of 4+ that buy online
Note: This show normally sells out on Friday so grab tickets quick to guarantee that you can come! We do keep a few door tickets on reserve as well, so if you can't buy online, you can try your luck by getting there early on the door!
Come early to grab a drink - We have a full bar available with beer, wine & mix drinks!

Who Picks The Comedians?
We are 3 professional comedians that have performed all over the world. Hannah Becker was a finalist on Stand-Up Revolution, John Allis produced and performed the first English Comedy Show ever in Madagascar and has performed throughout the world (getting his start in Chicago), and Dr Matthew Murtha has toured his 'Life of Science' show around Europe and has several successful Edinburgh Fringe runs under his belt.
Between us we have a good handle on what makes people laugh, who the best European comedians are AND on what makes a good comedy show. We have 20+ years experience, and put this to good use when choosing the lineups for The Spotlight.

Some People Don't Like Us
Around 1% of the people that come to The Comedy Clubhouse don't have a good time. Sometimes this is because they find the jokes offensive, or they think it's too crowded, occasionally they are expecting a bigger range of beer or wine, or they want table service.
The Comedy Clubhouse isn't for everyone. It's for people that want a non-pretentious night out in Barcelona where they can watch a high quality stand-up comedy in an intimate lounge room atmosphere. It's for friendly people that want to meet other people and for couples that want an awesome date night. It's not for people that want 17 Euro cocktails and table service.
The Comedy ClubhouseThe Clubhouse is Barcelona's only dedicated comedy club. We started it in the middle of the Covid pandemic at a time where bars had capacity restrictions & had to close at 5pm. Despite these hurdles, people loved the vibe and came out to support the 1pm and 3pm shows.
Since beginning at Pub Limerick in Eixample we have moved to a bigger venue in the Born neighbourhood. We have increased our staff and now have a booker, video editor, bar manager, improv teacher & more.
We now produce 20+ Shows a week in English, Spanish & 4 plus other languages. We also have plenty of opportunities for people to learn comedy through our Comedy Schoolhouse and Open Improv Workshops. See all of our shows and find out about classed through our website here.
