This unlikely collaboration between two goofy babes is coming to you!
Forest Ember is a queer, neurodivergent Producer of Pun Intended Punslam, stand-up comedian- a Clowntrepaneur who swims and splashes through life living with a swarm of diagnoses and danger. She plays washboard, trombone, drums, and tambourine in several local brass bands but her main instrument she'll show and tell you is the audience's heartstrings. Come enjoy her ridiculousness and attempt to see the world through her eyes!
Maritess Zurbano, Master Magician and recent breast cancer survivor is back! Using world-class sleight-of-hand, audience participation, and mindreading. The absurdity and hilarity of the evening escalates, as she tells her magic origin story as a Filipino-American woman searching for acceptance and family in the white-male-dominated tradition of magic. Every wild performance driven forward with mostly audience participation.
As the only Filipina-American magician in history. Zurbano is a former Las Vegas blackjack dealer, international magic lecturer, and had her own illusion show in Japan. Zurbano was nominated to the world championships of magic (also known as the Olympics of Magic) at the Fédération Internationale des Sociétés Magiques in Lisbon against 150 other illusion competitors. She has been profiled by many media, including Newsday, Lifetime Television, the BBC News and The Village Voice.
