Come join us for a night of love and laughter! Richmond comedians Esther Bilderback and Sam Nelson along with headliner Apple Brown Betty are coming to Blacksburg to make your Valentine’s Day a special one.
Apple Brown Betty is a powerhouse performer with a trajectory that is out of this world. Her storied career has seen several evolutions; from television host, to social media star, to radio personality. In 2020, she assumed her ultimate form as a stand-up comedienne.
Raised in Richmond VA, Betty's elegant stage presence belies a boldness that audiences love. Her charming, southern sensibility allows her to approach topics that many shy away from with ease.
Betty was selected as one of Bob Sumner's Rising Stars of Comedy after just a year in the industry. Her natural talent has been honed on some of the grandest stages the comedy world has to offer, including The World Famous Comedy Store, The Hollywood Laugh Factory, The Hollywood Improv, The DC Improv, The DC Comedy Loft and the legendary Apollo Theater.
Betty has also blazed stages in the Willingboro Comedy Festival, the Because They're Funny Festival and the American Black Film Festival.
