A series of queer salons, both formal and informal, activate the organizing space in andrea geyers ‘a promise of lightning.’
About this Event

Members of Interference Archive and Sam Feder activate a promise of lightning's exhibition meeting area to make space to think through resilience and resistance through different forms of Archive.


In the framework of , this salon series offers the exhibitions meeting area in service of queer collectives, organizations, friends and individuals to gather and discuss queer issues and ideas in art, public health, and organizing, following from the tradition of literary and ideological movements of the 17th and 18th centuries.


Additional ad hoc salons will take place on Sundays between 4:30–5:30pm throughout the exhibition's duration this September 4 – January 12, 2025, at the Leslie-Lohman Museum of Art, 26 Wooster Street | New York, NY 10013. This salon series follows a non-hierarchical model, with co-hosts present to suggest guided questions and support facilitation, but with all attendees encouraged to engage in dialogue.
