My friend and neighbor Terry Godfrey is running to represent Palo Alto and Stanford on the board of the Foothill-De Anza Community College District. This is the first time that there is a specific Palo Alto/Stanford Trustee seat on the Board.
Please drop by my house for a glass of wine on Tuesday, July 9 from 5:30 - 7 to chat with Terry, share your experiences, concerns and questions about Foothill -De Anza, and hear how she plans to serve the district. (Although campaign contributions are always welcomed, this is NOT a fundraiser.)
Many of you from the PTA world will know Terry as a former Palo Alto School Board President with more than 20 years of advocating for youth and students. I think she could pretty much run the world, but at the moment she’s the CFO of a nonprofit education research think tank and a foundation board trustee at UC Irvine.
Even if you have no specific questions about Foothill/De Anza, consider coming by to chat with Terry and learn why she is running. She’s hugely impressive and I have met very few people who are committed to community service as she is.
