Come Hygge with Me

Come hang out at Shakti for some open hygge time. Bring a snack to share and connect with others or don't. If you want to just read in the window, then go hygge. If you want to just paint or draw, then go hygge.

Hygge is about taking time away from the daily rush to be together with people you care about - or even by yourself - to relax and enjoy life's quieter pleasures. You are welcome to bring items that bring you comfort or you enjoy creating with. This time is an open space designed to foster comfort and joy. ✨

Free. Limited space. Registration required. Donations accepted at the door.

✨ Led by Ellen Harbin-Dabbs

Ellen Harbin-Dabbs is a Tennessee native. Growing up in the Tennessee State Park system, she learned many traditional skills that still need to be remembered. These skills include, but not limited to emergency preparedness, cooking indoors and out, ham radio, etc. Her mother and grandmother taught her the ways of the hearth, and her father, an outdoor instructor and park ranger, taught her the ways of the wild. Her stories and insights will keep you entertained as she teaches us the “old ways.” Ellen has been an Emergency Medical Technician for 25 years and a Ham Radio operator for around 20 years.
