The Children's Bookshow Autumn tour of live literature events is coming to Ipswich! The Children's Bookshow is a charity that inspires children with a love of reading. We introduce children to world-class authors and illustrators through our programme of theatre events and in-school workshops.
Come and see award-winning author Catherine Johnson at New Wolsey Theatre, Ipswich.
Join author Catherine Johnson as she explores her trio of books about amazing people who have all been been forgotten because of the colour of their skin: Matthew Henson, one of the
first men to reach the North Pole; Olaudah Equiano, a slave who sailed all over the world and worked his way to freedom; and Josephine Baker, dancer, civil rights campaigner and spy.
With time for questions, Catherine's inspiring talk on historical fiction will encourage children to be writers and readers themselves!
