The tea is..
I’ve been so grateful for Jessica and the always safe and welcoming space of cup and kettle for letting us do these kooky shows month after month. What started about a year ago as a ROUGH idea during a ROUGH tea stained teeth cleaning, became an idea of the mic building upon a comedy community. The intention was supporting every comics voice while cultivating connection and growth. No matter how many awful tea puns were made. Mostly me.
What transpired after that we left up to google form, equipment from local business and friends, and a lovely audience.
And what a lovely audience indeed that turned out every show.
When I had this very rough idea about a year ago I knew exactly who to call to help execute it and spill the tea.
Not only has @veronica_cachairs been integral in putting these shows together, she’s been a great friend, partner in crime, and support. And Im sooo excited she’s going to continue this show when I move and I can’t wait to see what she does with it and more!
Personally, one of the most beautiful part of the shows has been who’s signed up for it month after month and made it so fun to do. This month’s show is dedicated to those performers and all the hosts who’ve came from the beginning and continued to pull through, been chaotically entertaining, and made it so enjoyable. This is going to be a very fun show and we also have some amazing people signed up for the open mic with maybe a few surprises thrown in.
