The World Religions Conference (WRC) has been serving for the last 40 years in Canada as an invaluable means for bringing different religious and ethnic communities together in a manner which breeds tolerance, peace, cooperation, and understanding amongst the different religions within our society. This event is Canada’s largest and longest running Multi-faith event.
Hate…. in its many forms—whether based on religion, race, culture, or ideology—undermines peace and erodes the values of justice and compassion that lie at the heart of all major faith traditions. At this year’s World Religions Conference, representatives from eight world religions will share their perspectives on how spiritual teachings, moral principles, and lived experiences can help root out HATE from our society. Together, the voices of diverse faiths will highlight the power of dialogue, empathy, and collective action in transforming hate into understanding, division into unity, and fear into hope.
Speakers representing the world’s major religions Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, Sikhism, Indigenous Spirituality and Humanism will participate in the event.
The event is hosted by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama`at of Canada with the cooperation of several cities, media, academic institutions and faith based associations.
