Folks, before the pandemic Columbia Resilience had regular potlucks at the Carolina Green Quad. It's been a long time since we've got together in person, so the board decided to give it a try. We will meet on Saturday, April 27, after the morning work party at the orchard. We've never done a potluck picnic, but how hard can it be? Just bring whatever food says "Picnic" to you and some extra to share. Maybe an old quilt to sit on. We'll have drinks and compostable plates and cups, or you can bring your own. Just please no single use plastics if at all possible.
We'll have some games and some information about our various projects. If you haven't been to the orchard lately, we'll show you around. If you'd like to sign up for something, there will be paper and pen. And if you really want to make it a full day, show up at 10:30 and join the orchard volunteers. Otherwise, 12:30 will be fine. And feel free to bring a friend. :)
The orchard is located across the road from Owens Air Field in the county park on Jim Hamilton Blvd. It's just beyond the disc golf course and next to the nature trail. Looking forward to seeing lots of you on the 27th!
