About this Event
This year, we are hosting the competition once again to raise essential funds for the Columbia Animal Shelter, a non-profit organization offering low-cost spay/neuter services, a wellness clinic, and valuable community outreach programs.
The event format remains inspired by the popular Food Network show Chopped, challenging contestants to prepare a meal using items from a mystery box. While they can supplement with additional ingredients from a shared pantry, each dish must incorporate the mystery ingredients, often resulting in creative and unexpected pairings—all within a 30-minute time frame.
The event will begin at 6:00 PM on Saturday, March 29th, at The Country Barn in Lancaster, with a buffet dinner, followed by stories from the Columbia Animal Shelter, volunteer highlights, and honoree recognition. The culinary competition will start around 7:30 PM, with three local professional chefs and four judges: three well-known community members and one guest judge, whose seat will be auctioned during the evening.
Additionally, we’re excited to announce a special whiskey pull! Participants will have the chance to win bottles of whiskey by purchasing pull tickets, making this a fun and spirited way to contribute to the cause.
We hope you’ll join us for an unforgettable evening filled with great food, lively competition, and opportunities to support an organization making a meaningful difference in our community. Together, we can help Columbia Animal Shelter continue its vital mission.
