Explore a historic world of color at the Chester County History Center! Learn how people of the past created and used colors in everything from fabric, to art, to the everyday objects around them. Learn how we used natural materials to craft a rainbow of colors for clothing, and how we made brilliant paints from metals, stones, and plants. Why are school buses yellow and stoplights red? You'll find out! Finally, a fun interactive scavenger hunt through our museum will have you seeing the world in a whole new way.Admission is $8.00 for children ages 6-18 and $10.00 for adults; members receive a 50% discount with member code. Children 5 and under are free. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. No food or snacks will be available for purchase, but there are plentiful sit-down and quick dining options in downtown West Chester. Tickets include all-day access to the museum; registration is required so that we have enough supplies on hand. Both children and adults must have a ticket to enter.
Activities are ongoing throughout the event, so families can stop by at any point between 11am and 2:30pm. Best for ages 7-13. ColorQuest will run rain or shine (it's entirely indoors.) Once purchased, tickets are NONREFUNDABLE.
