EPCC Art Students and Faculty in partnership artist Laura Turon, transformed the Paradox Traveling Art Bus into an immersive and augmented reality installation utilizing Zoe Spiliotis’ research with the Humanities Collaborative UTEP-EPCC fellowship as inspriration. Spiliotis' humanities project was to develop a color palette representative of El Paso as inspiration. This project explores what we can learn about a place through its colors. The creation of the El Paso color palette will create a sense of place that discusses the city's identity and promotes a sense of place for its users by giving El Paso a chromatic identity linked to shared memory and aesthetic experience.Exterior mural designs by Laura Turón.
Admission: $5, half of the proceeds will be used to support the EPCC Art Student Society and raise funds for awards for the annual EPCC student art show.
Augmented reality made possible by Augment El Paso.
