This class is dedicated to students who want to become more confident with color! Perception of color can be complex, nuanced and most of all, subjective! With instruction from painter Robin Bundi, students will be introduced to the principles of color theory using the color wheel and watercolor paint. Exploring hues, tints, shades and tones, students will create a few dynamic color palettes, experimenting with mixing watercolor, and learning how to apply color theory to representational and abstract painting. Students will leave class with color charts and diagrams of their own creation, in addition to a Color Theory Handout.
