Instructor: Rachel CavottaExplore the basics of color theory with this three week course! Using a color wheel, this class will learn color relationships, including primary, secondary, and tertiary colors. Additionally, color charts and hands on painting exercises will help students learn the basics of shading and creating realistic colors. By the end of the course, students will learn color mixing, blending, and layering to create unique and vibrant works of art.
Course fee includes a $15 watercolor kit that will be given to each participant and a $3 processing fee.

RACHEL CAVOTTA is a watercolor and embroidery artist living in the Lehigh Valley. She received a bachelor’s degree in English with a minor in fine art from West Chester University. She uses both watercolor and embroidery in unconventional ways, focusing on pushing the limits of each medium. Over the last few years, he was involved in a variety of shows and exhibitions throughout the Lehigh Valley and Philadelphia, including the Lehigh Valley Punk Rock Flea Market, Virtual Feminist Flea Market in Philadelphia, Ex Libris Compendium at the Banana Factory in Bethlehem, and Art in the Park in Allentown.
She wants to continue to help grow a diverse and supportive art community where each member encourages one another to make the work that’s truest to their experience and point of view. She enjoys being part of the art community in the Lehigh Valley and continues to share her knowledge and techniques with others.
