Color Resin and Floral Pendant Making

Ages: 18 and up, adults only please, not suitable for pregnant women!

Instructor: Sonja Marshall

Description:

Explore the possibilities of using color in UV resin as a backdrop to preserved botanicals. Learn how to mix a custom color, how much dye to use, how to add pre-dried florals and how to cure your resin using UV lamps. We'll also discuss how to remove bubbles and the health and safety guidelines to be aware of when using UV resin.


Who is this course for?

Anyone who wants to make resin jewelry. No previous experience is needed to take this course, but a desire to explore your creativity is a must. All supplies, materials and tools are provided.


Project:

Each student will complete two pendants they take home at the end of class. Pendants can be attached to a necklace chain or keyring (hardware not included). Your choice of gold or silver color bezels.


About the Instructor:

Sonja's career in the creative realm began as a graphic designer in the 90s. Her venture into silversmithing began in 2004 with the first of many juried art shows and awards and began teaching in 2006. She now works and sells out of her studio in Orlando Florida at Autumn & Ro. Her other interests include painting, pottery, sewing and gardening. Her work can be viewed at www.sonjajeanette.com.

Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are available to FNGLA Certified Professionals upon request. 

 Participants must withdraw from classes at least five days prior to the start of class in order to receive a full refund or credit. If we must cancel a class, we will make every effort to inform you prior to the class time, and you will receive a full refund or credit. Only those registered for the class will be permitted in the classroom. Childcare services are not provided.
