About this Event
Explore the possibilities of using color in all types of art. This workshop is perfect for color enthusiasts as well as those less confident in using color. Topics include: quick look at color optics, cultural and emotional aspects of color, demystifying mixing and matching colors, and creating fun and practical optical color illusions in collage. The goal is for everyone to come away from this “Color Explosion” with a refreshed and deeper appreciation of the properties and possibilities of color in their art.
Discover color optics and how our eyes experience color; emotional and cultural aspects of color; basic elements and principles of color in art; how to mix colors, optical color illusions, and famous artists and scientists noted for their work in color. The goal is for everyone to better appreciate the possibilities of color in art and to apply some of the principles covered during the workshop.
You must bring the materials below to the workshop. Additional materials are provided by the instructor using the $5 supply fee. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the instructor at [email protected].
