On Cologne's Women's Carnival we’ll explore the alleys, squares and pubs of Cologne’s Old Town (Altstadt)!✖

After the "Haus Wirtz" and perhaps "Lotta" (or other) pubs and having some food somewhere on the way (see the "Carnival 2026 THU 12 02 DAY Weiberfastnacht" ☞!ⒻⒾⓃⒹ ⒶⓁⓁ ⒸⓈ&ⒻⒷ-ⓁⒾⓃⓀⓈ ⒷⒺⓁⓄⓌ!☜) plus perhaps some more Kölsch on the way we'll intend to be at Cologne's Old Town (Altstadt) by 4pm to spend the rest of the day there.
For the last couple of years we'd spend Thu afternoon/evening at the "Große Super Uschi Party" at Stadtgarten but that has (as so many events and places during Cologne Carnival) "become a victim of it's success" and so now without buying tickets beforehand (which have been sold out for a while already…) you have to queue for HOURS (actually literally!!!) to get in in the afternoon or evening… So now we're going back to where we'd spend the Thursday evenings for the first couple of years of this annual event 😉
NO IDEA where exactly we'll be and when - but we'll surely gonna try to get into "Papa Joe's Biersalon" at some point ( https://maps.app.goo.gl/MkuVFZSWoouk1k4X9 ) and MAYBE "The Corkonian Irish pub" ( https://maps.app.goo.gl/oZNV8rfCRpxSb5eh8 ) just opposite. Or perhaps "Papa Joe's Jazz Bar" (IF it's even open and not impossible to get in - https://maps.app.goo.gl/2Ud9RddBS8BmGmHx8 ) or the "Biermuseum" next to it. Weather permits we might also just be on Altermarkt ( "Old Market" - https://maps.app.goo.gl/G9mQEyjXe7dMViDJ8 ) or on the lawn by the river ("Rheingarten" - https://maps.app.goo.gl/6bK1SATTFXW5u5XTA ) and have some Kölsch for the Kiosks around and maybe some food… Before going home we might even try to check out "Die Kulisse Köln" ( https://maps.app.goo.gl/A5RVktYU2VreZmkA8 ), a somewhat "cult place" and famous for those who haven't scored yet all day and go there as there last resort to maybe still get laid (….) - but really just to "tick it off" with no plans to actually stay there for long😂
ALSO NO IDEA how long we're gonna stay in town and if we might at some point decide to finish the night with some more cocktails at home or just call it a day "early-ish" (having been up and mostly on our feet all day…)!

HOW AND WHERE CAN "LATERCOMERS" MEET US ON THURSDAY EVENING:

From Dom/HBF you just walk to Old Town (you're basically there already: https://maps.app.goo.gl/ExBQtx9tUJmrRRFc9 ).
In any case it's a good idea to try and contact anyone of us first - THOUGH getting hold of one of us might be tricky and take a while...

If you stored your stuff at main station's automatic locker machines, then you can always pick it up at night when you go home. THAT WILL BE MOST PROBABLY AFTER MIDNIGHT - so IF YOU CANNOT use the automatic locker machines but have to use the "Gepäckcenter" counter at the Douglas perfumery instead (IF that still exists...), then also consider bringing your stuff to some other place for at that counter you can only pick it up the next morning...
