After the "Haus Wirtz" and perhaps "Lotta" (or other) pubs and having some food somewhere on the way (see the "Carnival 2025 THU 27 02 DAY Weiberfastnacht" ☞!ⒻⒾⓃⒹ ⒶⓁⓁ ⒸⓈ&ⒻⒷ-ⓁⒾⓃⓀⓈ ⒷⒺⓁⓄⓌ!☜) plus perhaps some more Kölsch on the way we'll intend to crash the STADTGARTEN party venue (https://www.stadtgarten.de/programm/grosse-super-uschi-party-8607 - most parts German only...) by 4:00pm.
NO IDEA how long we're gonna stay there and if we go on to some other place afterwards to still party on somewhere else - e.g. on ZÜLPICHER STRASSE, like on Friday ("Carnival 2025 FRI 28 02 ZULPICHER STRASSE" - ☞!ⒻⒾⓃⒹ ⒶⓁⓁ ⒸⓈ&ⒻⒷ-ⓁⒾⓃⓀⓈ ⒷⒺⓁⓄⓌ!☜). BUT ACTUALLY with the wide arrange of offers at the Stadtgarten venue and an entrance fee of 25€ for that, we guess that your best option is to stay there all night😉

This evening we'll party at the Stadtgarten party venue which is one of the very few real alternatives to the "most common" way to celebrate street Carnival (standing and dancing in cramped pubs) - WHILE AT THE SAME TIME OFFERING THAT, TOO!
Stadtgarten comprises several parts: a beer garden, a large café/restaurant with a marquee-covered terrace and another "real" restaurant plus some music/concert/party spaces.
For Carnival all that is fenced in and made into one big party venue with the café/restaurant being turned into one large Kölsch Carnival party area, the music hall into a dance place with charts and dance floor music played, a smaller room in the basement where they play alternative and rock and oldies and the café's terrace and the beer garden serving as outdoor areas to cool down, smoke and getting some fast-food snacks (fries, burgers, ...) from the food stand there. One can also easily get out (e.g. to have a Döner from the place just opposite) and then with the stamp on your hand back in again!
We chose the Stadtgarten for Thursday night because some of our CS'ers will be in Cologne for the full 5 days and we'd like to show them all different kinds to celebrate Carnival - not every night the standard going to pubs and partying "just" there! AND that venue has been very popular and successful for years. Last but not least with Thursday being the day where you basically stand and walk all day having a place in the evening where you can actually sit down a bit (like in the beer garden - as well as in some places indoors) is just perfect!
ON TOP OF THAT the 2 areas where they play NOT Carnival music might be a welcome change to having been exposed to Kölsche Carnival Music all day long so far...
THE ONLY "HOOK" is that there's an entrance fee of 25€!
I know that's not cheap - but we really think it's worth is! You'll get a stamp on your arm - so you can always leave and come back later without having to pay again.
AND you support one of the best jazz and small arts places in Cologne by adding to a hopefully big win during Carnival - which then helps them supporting the arts throughout the rest of the year!
LAST BUT NOT LEAST we might decide at some point to go some other place (see above!) - though that's not very like (having paid that entrance fee AND with what we'll get there for this...).
SO NO IDEA how long we're gonna stay there or when we'll be home - can be late!

If you stored your stuff at main station's automatic locker machines, then you can always pick it up at night when you go home. THAT WILL BE MOST PROBABLY AFTER MIDNIGHT - so IF YOU CANNOT use the automatic locker machines but have to use the "Gepäckcenter" counter at the Douglas perfumery instead, then also consider bringing your stuff to some other place for at that counter you can only pick it up the next morning...
