About this Event
This workshop is suitable for beginners and those who have done some printing previously. During the course you will create and print your multi-layered collograph plate, applying a range of textured surfaces. This process gives you many opportunities to experiment with a variety of techniques and surface textures to expand your repertoire.
Fiona will guide you through the process of creating your Collograph plate and you will experiment with both black and coloured printing inks to create a series of prints.
The theme of the course is Landscape so if you come along with some Landscape images, either photographic or drawn that would be useful. Your print will be a maximum size of A4, but you may wish to create a plate of a different proportion/shape.
Fiona Edmondson is an experienced printmaker and Artist Educator. Originally studying Fine Art painting, she has for many years been fascinated by the qualities and variety of printmaking processes including etching, Gelli, Lino and collograph printing in her current work.
