About this Event
The Advent Carol service is a highlight of the year at Christ Church and not to be missed. We gather in candlelight to begin the Advent season, with music led by the Christ Church Choristers, Frideswide Voices and our Lay and Academical Clerks.
You must book a ticket to attend this service, although attendance is free. We cannot scan phones at the door of the Cathedral, so you will need a printed ticket to gain entry to the building. Doors open at 4.45pm and the congregation is asked to be seated by 5.15pm. There will be parking available in the Broad Walk from 4-9pm, but please use public transport where possible.
JCR/GCR/SCR/Staff are all welcome to book tickets and can bring up to five guests.
We will be taking a collection at this service for our Advent Charity, this year: Response. Response are a mental health charity providing mental health services and accommodation in Oxfordshire and across the Thames Valley. They offer tailored support to young people and work in partnership with other charities as part of the Oxford Mental Health Partnership. You can find further details here: Mental Health and Homeless Charity for Adults, Youth & Housing in Oxfordshire, Berkshire and Buckinghamshire - Response
If you have further questions or find you no longer need your ticket, please contact the College Chaplain, Kirsty Borthwick, on [email protected]
