About this Event
We might not hear about it as much as we used to, but the situation for refugees in Greece is the worse its ever been. The number of teenage migrants arriving to Greece has risen by 400% in 2024. The asylum system is exclusive, and Athens lacks dedicated safe spaces, services, education or shelter for young people to integrate, rebuild their lives and achieve economic security. Grassroots organisations fill crucial gaps in services, so that young people seeking refuge have access to equal opportunities, choice and safe spaces. They need our support.
Action for Women, Mazí Housing and Velos Youth are working together to ensure displaced young people in Athens are: housed; attain asylum status; secure employment, language skills and education opportunities; open bank accounts; build psychosocial wellbeing and resilient futures.
