Join Gilda’s Club Kansas City and Owen/Cox Dance Group in celebrating the lives of everyone impacted by cancer.
Owen/Cox Dance Group, in collaboration with Gilda’s Club KC, composer Stacy Busch, and poet Frances Story, will present this evening-length work inspired by members of Gilda’s Club who shared their stories of cancer. Gilda’s Club KC and the artistic collaborators of this production hope to raise awareness of the incidence of cancer in the local community and the positive benefits of education, support and self-advocacy. This music, dance and spoken word piece celebrates the lives of people impacted by cancer, serving to unite those who have or are currently experiencing cancer, while embracing diversity and instilling hope.
