Collection of Collections, workshop with Maria de la O Garrido

Collection of collections is a creative workshop led by artist Maria de la O Garrido, designed for adults with an interest and curiosity for contemporary art, creativity and image.

After visiting CLASSifications and reflecting on the work exhibited, María will invite participants to observe their surroundings carefully, and to use the collection of materials provided inspired by each of the artist on display (including images, words, or objects) to make a physical piece of work where they can apply their reflections on the topic they choose. The purpose of the workshop is to explore the possibilities of the materials provided and to apply our critical thinking and personal experience in the process. The intention is to spark creativity through demonstrating a variety of techniques such as expanded collage (installation based artwork) and our personal experience as an important tool.

Please note there is limited space available on this workshop and early booking is advised to avoid missing out. No experience is required and all materials will be provided.

The workshop will last around 2.5 hours.
