About this Event
Learn some of the basics of printing letterpress at The Soapbox by working as a group to make a colorful original artwork during this workshop. Explore our letterpress studio and type drawers (including our collection of wacky cuts, dingbats, and ornaments!), practice setting moveable type and learn to register a multi-layer composition on our Vandercook cylinder presses. Participants will collaborate on a two-color design and print both layers during the workshop. A materials fee covers paper, ink, other consumables, and studio maintenance.
Please note: Masks are required for this workshop, regardless of vaccination status. The instructor reserves the right to ask you to leave if you do not comply.
$40 for Current Members of the Soapbox/$45 for Non-Members
Plus a $15 materials fee that covers ink, paper, and use of our equipment.
