A screening of La page blanche, the third session of the Alliance Française deYork film club in collaboration with York St John University.
About this Event
The Alliance Française de York is pleased to present the Cinéphiles club to offer screenings of French and Francophone films at York St John University.
From historical classics to genre-bending, new movies, we hope to provide an environment to watch films and practice French listening.
All films will have English subtitles to be accessible for all.
We invite you to join us for this screening and enjoy the best of French cinema. La page blanche follows Eloïse, sitting alone on a bench in Paris. She can't remember who she is, where she comes from or how she got there.
So begins a funny investigation on her life to discover who she is. This amnesia might help her find love and reinvent her life.
This romantic comedy is the perfect film for our Cinephiles session so close to Valentine’s Day. Loosely based on the eponymous graphic novel by Boulet et Pénélope Bagieu, this film is at times an investigative mystery and slice-of-life film reminiscent of Le Fabuleux déstin d’Amélie Poulain.
This season of Cinéphiles sessions is in collaboration with York St John University and the Alliance Français de York.
The film runtime is 100 minutes. This film is rated PG for sex and nudity.
