Ένας από τους σημαντικότερους εκφραστές της σύγχρονης τζαζ, ο σαξοφωνίστας Colin Stetson έρχεται για πρώτη φορά στην Ελλάδα, στο πλαίσιο της Ευρωπαϊκής Περιοδείας του.Με στοιχεία από την πειραματική τζαζ μέχρι τη μινιμαλιστική σύνθεση καθώς και έντονες post - rock επιρροές, ο παγκοσμίου φήμης σαξοφωνίστας και συνθέτης έχει δημιουργήσει το δικό του χαρακτηριστικό ηχόχρωμα, Η επαναστατική του προσέγγιση, μέσω της κυκλικής αναπνοής συνδυαστικά με τη χρήση περίπλοκων μικροφωνικών ρυθμίσεων, μεταμορφώνει το σαξόφωνο σε μια ολόκληρη ορχήστρα του ενός ατόμου. Οι εμφανίσεις του Stetson χαρακτηρίζονται από έντονη φυσικότητα, καθώς συνδυάζει αβίαστα ρυθμό, μελωδία και αρμονία.

Colin Stetson one of the most visible and celebrated saxophonists across a wide range of streams in the musical universe comes for the first time in Greece.
Colin Stetson was born and raised in Ann Arbor and spent a decade in San Francisco and Brooklyn, where he honed his formidable brass talent, finally settling in Montreal in 2007.
Over the years he has worked extensively, live and in the studio, with a wide range of bands and musicians, including Tom Waits, Arcade Fire, Bon Iver, TV On The Radio, Feist, Laurie Anderson, Lou Reed, Bill Laswell, Evan Parker, The Chemical Brothers, Animal Collective, Hamid Drake, LCD Soundsystem, The National, Angelique Kidjo, Fink and David Gilmore. Meanwhile, he has developed a wholly unique voice as a soloist, primarily on saxophones and clarinet, with his strong technical prowess combined with his exciting and emotionally compelling songwriting skills.
Stetson's amazing physical engagement with his instruments (mostly bass and alto saxophone) produces emotionally rich and polyphonic compositions that exceed expectations of what solo brass playing can sound like.
