TWO REMARKABLE ARTISTS SHARE THE STAGETwo fans will be sharing the stage when Singer/Songwriters Colin Buchanan and Raechel Whitchurch join forces for a one-off Capitol Theatre show this Tamworth Festival.
Colin explains, “I’m a big fan of singer/songwriters. So is Raechel. Of course, that makes me a big fan of what Raechel does so well - those spirited, honest songs of hers.” But Raechel chips in, “I’ve been a Colin Buchanan fan forever. I’ve been singing Galahs In The Gidgee and North Bourke Bridge since I was a little kid!”
Their mutual respect has strengthened a refreshing musical friendship. And now festival-goers have the opportunity to find out what all this fan-fuss is about!
Both artists released new albums in 2024 – Colin’s Memory Town and Raechel’s What A Time To Be Alive – much to the delight of their fans, and each other. This special show will see them performing all of their new (and old) songs, sharing the stories, and of course there’ll be plenty of laughs along the way.
“I get to sing my way through my career, from my new album, Memory Town, right back to where it all started with Galahs In The Gidgee,” says Colin. “Plus I get a front row seat to enjoy Raechel’s amazing songs from Finally Clear and her 2024 gem, What A Time To Be Alive.”
Raechel adds, “This is a dream come true for me. Performing my own show at Tamworth with my band, and one of my favourite artists. I definitely won’t miss an opportunity to jump up and sing some songs with Colin!”
Join Colin Buchanan and Raechel Whitchurch at The Capitol Theatre in Tamworth to see these two remarkable artists share the stage for a Tamworth Festival concert highlight!
