Paddling in cold weather comes with high risk. Do you know all the risks and how to mitigate them so you can enjoy paddling all year long?Do you need to wear a wetsuit or dry suit to paddle in the winter? At what temperature do you need to worry about extra protection while paddling? What else should you consider when planning that winter trip? What really is cold water? Join us and find the answer to all these questions and more.
This will be free class, open to the public, oriented towards newer paddlers, especially if those have never attended a Cold-Water Clinic or don’t know the hazards it poses.
You can expect to learn all about the hazards, how to protect yourself against the hazards, and even test out your winter gear if you have any. Most locations will be offering classroom instruction along with equipment on hand to show students and an on water demonstration. Check the websites for each location to get more details.
