Carol and David Staten of 4A's Farm in Sunbright, TN will be teaching at Dogwood Exchange, 4950 Hwy 127 S Crossville, TN on Saturday, April 26th from 10-12 CST. Sign up now to learn how to make cold process goat milk soap with natural, skin-loving ingredients like olive oil, tallow, coconut oil, colloidal oats, honey, and of course raw goat milk from their Nubian goat herd.During this class you will discuss ingredients, the saponification process, and how to mix soap batter. Students will prepare soap molds, choose fragrance and colorant, swirl their soap, pour it into the mold and decorate the tops of the bars. The fee for this class is $50.
Each participant will take home a soap dish and over a pound of their own handmade oat, milk and honey goat milk soap. Participants will unmold the soap and cut it into 4 bars (in their own home) after 24 hours have passed.
Please wear closed toed shoes and long sleeves, and bring a hair tie if necessary. We provide eye protection, gloves, aprons and all your sudsy ingredients.
A waiver must be signed before class participation. Students must be at least 18 years of age.
