We are witnessing a vile tide of attacks on refugees & migrants. The Far Right, egged on and emboldened by the likes of Farage, Starmer, Badenoch and Jenrick have used this hateful atmosphere to launch a number of protest outside hotels that house asylum seekers and refugees. An anonymous group have called a protest outside the Town Hall at 1pm September 20th against the housing of people at RAF Weathersfield under the slogan "None in, All Out". This is clearly an attempt to stir up hatred and division in our community.
We are calling on the widest coalition of Colchester society to oppose this divisive action.
We plan to assemble at 12.15 and then proceed to the Town Hall to protest at the planned Far Right rally.
