Coil a Goddess (or a Cat! Or an Abstract Sculpture!) – Two-Day Sculpture Workshop with Kat AdamsJoin ceramic artist Kat Adams for a creative two-day workshop where you’ll learn to build your own handbuilt clay sculpture using the coil method. This technique creates strong, even walls—ideal for larger forms and less prone to cracking. Kat will guide you through planning your design, building as the clay firms, and adding the surface details that give your sculpture character and life.
Whether you'd like to create a goddess, a life-size cat, or an entirely unique abstract piece, this workshop welcomes beginners through to advanced potters. Earthenware firing of your finished work is included.
Skills you’ll learn:
• Rolling coils by hand or using an extruder
• Planning and visualising your sculpture
• Building and shaping as the clay firms
• Adding surface details and finishing touches
Morning tea will be provided. Please bring your own lunch. A fridge, tea, and coffee facilities are available on site.
