๐ป Caribbean Traditional Folk Music Workshopwith Cohen Braithwaite-Kilcoyne
Caribbean traditional music has deep roots, rich regional styles, and a history thatโs rarely explored in UK folk settings.
This afternoon workshop offers a focused, hands-on introduction to traditional Caribbean tunes, rhythms and musical context, led by one of the UKโs most distinctive folk musicians, Cohen Braithwaite-Kilcoyne.
Rather than fusion or pastiche, the session looks at the music itself โ how itโs structured, how itโs played, and how it connects to wider folk traditions.

Exploring rhythm, phrasing and ornamentation
Musical background and cultural context
Playing together as a group in an informal, supportive setting
