Caribbean traditional music has deep roots, rich regional styles, and a history that’s rarely explored in UK folk settings.
This afternoon workshop offers a focused, hands-on introduction to traditional Caribbean tunes, rhythms and musical context, led by one of the UK’s most distinctive folk musicians, Cohen Braithwaite-Kilcoyne.
Rather than fusion or pastiche, the session looks at the music itself — how it’s structured, how it’s played, and how it connects to wider folk traditions.
