Hey Folks, are you ready for another season of Coffeehouse? We'll keep you warm from fall until spring with a performance each month from October until April. Did you know Coffeehouse is older than both Midsummer Festival or the BV Folk Music Society itself? Coffeehouse has been running every year since the 1970's. If you want the exact date, you'll need to ask Norma when you see her on October 10th still coordinating Coffeehouse 50 years later.This month we're excited to present Harp Muse and Isaiah John, live from the Old Church at 7:00 pm on October 10th.
Jean Christian, Harp Muse, will be performing some of her better known compositions and some new material.
Hailing from Burns Lake, Isaiah-John’s music has brought him from his birthplace in the Toronto area to the rural reaches of Central BC. As a musician and producer of live music and jams in the big city, it wasn’t until he left it all behind that he went on a journey and found the music he could call his own. The roots of his sound range from folk, pop, and gospel to rock, grunge, jazz, classical, and more. His songs all encapsulate different characters, moments, or sensations that each provide a different answer to the most common question he receives, “Why are you here?”
