Instead of a formal presentation, weโre creating a relaxed, welcoming space for parents of children with different abilities to gather, share, and connect.
Weโre honored to have our board member, Maryjo Bullock , founder of Gulf Coast Death Doula, gently guiding this time together. If you havenโt met Maryjo yet, sheโs one of the most compassionate people youโll ever meet, and her trauma-informed approach to grief is truly special.
Maryjo reminds us that grief isnโt always about death. Sometimes, itโs about mourning the plans you pictured, the future you imagined, or the version of life you thought youโd have. This kind of griefโsometimes called ambiguous loss or living griefโis very real for many parents in our community. Feeling it doesnโt mean you love your child any less, or that you arenโt grateful for the life you have. It just means your heart is learning to adjust to a new reality.
If youโve ever felt this, youโre not alone. Join us for coffee, connection, and honest conversationโno agenda, no pressure. Just a safe, informal space to be with others who get it.
