Coffee Tasting: Fresh, Aged, and Stale Coffee

Join us as we taste coffees at different stages of their life; freshly roasted, aged before roasting, and staled after roasting.
About this Event

We freeze our green coffee to maintain peak freshness! Taste how this differs from coffee aged before it’s even been roasted and coffee that’s been left out for too long

Aged green coffee has a distinct woody flavor that persists even through roasting. It can be partially hidden with darker roasts and may even visibly indistinguishable from fresh coffee, but you can always find it if you know what to taste for. To reduce and even eliminate it; we, at George Howell Coffee, spare no expense to freeze our green coffee!

In this class, we will taste aged coffee side-by-side with coffee we’ve kept fresh through freezing and roasted coffee that has been ground too soon and become stale.
