Ever wonder what coffee professionals pay attention to when they taste? Or how to describe what you experience in the cup? And what’s really behind that famous “slurp” — does it actually matter?
Whether you’re a curious coffee enthusiast or someone who works in coffee and wants to explore beyond the retail bar, this session was made for you. No experience needed — just curiosity and a love for coffee.
We’ll start off with a light presentation, sharing a peek into what tastings look like in professional settings and what folks in different coffee roles tend to look for. You’ll also learn how to bring those same mindful tasting practices into your own home — plus a few fun, science-based insights on how taste and smell connect to our memories and perception.
Then comes the best part: tasting together. We’ll walk through tips and tricks for picking up aromas, fragrance, flavors, and textures — and discover how tasting can become a creative, sensory journey.
Everyone will head home with:
- 1 × mini comic-booklet for self-guided coffee tasting at home
- 1 × 8oz bag of washed Processed Colombian coffee — your perfect companion for practicing what you’ve learned
