☕🍰 COFFEE MORNING Reminder: THIS Thursday 28th August 10am-12.30 🍰☕🫖 at Roundswell Community Centre, Barnstaple (next to Sainsburys). This month, our Trustee Linda (a retired Ed Psych) will be leading an informal discussion around ASC/ADHD traits & symptoms in early childhood (0-2yrs).Coffee mornings are open to the public (you don't have to be a member) and are a great place for meeting others living with autism as adults or as parent/carers, for peer support and the sharing of lived knowledge on the positives that come with neurodiversity, managing of any difficulties and the services available locally.
Children welcome, as lots of space in the hall, but please just bring something along, to help to keep them entertained.
It's also a chance to speak with some of our Trustees about becoming a member and to find out what being a Volunteer or Trustee of our Charity involves, as without more new Trustees stepping up, our ability to put on Forum events will be more restricted than we would like, after over 33 years of providing signposting, peer support and events. The more Trustees we have, the more the organisational roles and responsibilities can be shared and the more events we can start to put on again :)
