About this Event
This hands-on short course will introduce you to the practical skills and knowledge needed for coffee making. Whether you're exploring a career in hospitality or simply love good coffee, you'll gain essential barista skills and confidence behind the machine.
Through guided, step-by-step instruction, you'll learn how to operate and maintain a commercial coffee machine, master milk frothing and pouring techniques, and prepare a variety of popular espresso-based drinks. By the end of the course, you'll be ready to step into a junior barista role or impress friends with café-quality coffee at home.
Eligibility and entry requirements
To enrol in this course, you must be aged 15 years or older, and be one of the following:
- an Australian citizen or permanent resident
- a New Zealand citizen
- the holder of a permanent humanitarian visa
- an eligible temporary visa holder as defined in the CIT Admission and Enrolment Policy.
Delivery mode
- Face-to-face course delivered on-campus (5 hours)
