About Our Schools
KIPP Washington Heights Elementary (Grades K–4) is a joyful learning community where children grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Students experience strong literacy and math instruction, daily recess, and enrichment including science, fitness, taekwondo, and hands-on projects—grounded in deep family and community partnerships.
KIPP Washington Heights Middle School (Grades 5–8) is a close-knit, college-focused community that nurtures curiosity, identity, and confidence. Through rigorous, culturally responsive instruction and individualized supports, students develop critical thinking skills and self-advocacy. Our butterfly logo honors Las Mariposas—the Mirabal Sisters—and reminds us that transformation, courage, and leadership are at the heart of our work.
