Robots are playing an essential role in automation across all sectors like construction, military, medical and manufacturing.Sci-fi movies always fascinate us by showing various modes through which a human can interact with computers. Remember Robert Downey Jr. (Tony Stark)? He uses hand gestures to move computer elements and talk to J.A.R.V.I.S. to give commands and get responses. Maybe you saw Tom Cruise wearing a glove and interacting with a computer in the movie Minority Report? Imagine if we could interact with machines in the same way? Well now we can! Campers learn how Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning play a vital role in today’s technology.
After making some basic robots like a line follower robot, a computer-controlled robot, students will use voice user interface (VUI) and gesture control interface (GCI) to bring such interactions with robots to real-life. Students will receive an accelerometer-based gesture-controlled robot with an Arduino Microcontroller that they developed and built to take home (MSRP:$139.98).
