CODE RED TEAM: The Beginning Stages To Hack [Chapter 01]

We will be using this time to practice the essentials for successfully performing a penetration test in the real world. For Chapter 01, we will be covering the following topics:

1. Penetration Testing Overview: A full rundown of all steps necessary to complete a penetration test. Discuss Red Teaming vs. Penetration Tests
2. Linux Environment Setup: Kali Linux configuration, Connect to Respect The Tech internal network to perform scanning
3. Reconaissance and Network Scanning - OSINT, Network Mapping, Host discovery, Vulnerability scanning
4. Q/A with our team

Keep in mind this is a 3 part series. We will also assist our attendees on how to leverage this experience to include it on your resume and prove it as cybersecurity experience.

Make sure to bring your laptop with your charger. We look forward to seeing you. Before we meet, listed below are the links you can use to download the virtualization software needed to successfully operate during our event.

Key items for success:

• VirtualBox Downloaded to your computer
• Link to download Virtualbox - Once you open the site, you can select the version for your operating system at the bottom left side of the page

• Kali Linux Pre-built image downloaded to your computer (will be installed on your VirtualBox Desktop application)
