We're happy to once again invite developers, UI/UX designers and programmers to join us for a weekend of working and networking. Contribute to the cause and learn new things in a cooperative and activist environment.🗓️ Date: 27-29 September 2024.
📍Location: Malmö, Sweden.
We'll be working in Media Evolution City (MEC) in the west harbor. Malmö is an old industrial harbor town located in south of Sweden. This little town is known for its grassroots arts and culture scene, impressive bike lanes, strong ocean winds and warm autumns.
✊ About code camp:
We'll work together to develop Zetkin, a web platform for organizing activism that is used by left-wing parties and progressive organizations across the world. The Zetkin frontend, where we usually work, is React with Next.JS written in Typescript. Our backend is mainly Python, but with some Node.js services written in Typescript.
You might feel “too new” or “too backend” to jump in, but don’t worry - there’s always a way to get involved. We work together and learn from each other. During the weekend we also offer a couple of seminars for those who want to deepen their knowledge.
Code camp is free of charge. We provide free food at MEC and arrange free accommodation in Malmö. The only cost not included is your travel to and from Sweden, which you'll have to cover yourself.
